Longstanding house duo Prok | Fitch make a much-anticipated debut on Hot Creations with Tease. The two-track EP sees them collaborate with London vocalist Kyozo and continues a stunning 2020 that has seen them release on Repopulate Mars and Solid Grooves already this year. That natural connection is clear from the start, as the straight-up Tease Feat. Kyozo quickly gets the EP underway. A swinging 4x4 bassline powers alongside punchy drums, before Kyozo’s lyrical solo adds an infectious energy to the track’s choppy underlying rhythm. Smack showcases a stripped-back, dubby approach as rounded kicks blend into minimal-leaning bleeps, whilst an echoing vocal repeats “smack” to take us straight through to peak-time dancing territory. One of contemporary house music’s most-established pairings, Prok | Fitch continue to carve out an impressive standing in the electronic music sphere.
