Kicking off the first in a brand new series of full-length compilation records, Ministry of Sound's 'The Future Sound of EDM' series looks to the cutting-edge sounds of US EDM sensation Krewella. Made up of two song writing sisters (Jasmine & Jahan), plus one talented producer (Rain Man), they are a phenomenon taking the World by storm. With their 2013 debut album, 'Get Wet' reaching number 1 in the US Dance charts, Krewella have since risen to be one of the biggest acts on the EDM scene. Their wide ranging musical ethos has led to various collaborations and remixes with the scene's biggest starts - Nicky Romero, Headhunterz, Skrillex, Knife Party, Zedd and Gareth Emery amongst others, with "Lights & Thunder" being arguably the standout track on the latter's new album, Drive. Clearly Krewella are a natural choice for the inaugural transmission in 'The Future Sound of EDM' series. The compilation series itself gives artists a platform to give their unique take on the current EDM scene, by including tracks by established and exciting new talent who are pushing the scene's boundaries, developing it and taking it to the next level. Due for release on June 23rd, the compilation piece spans over two CDs, exploring a fully comprehensive mix of styles and sounds, with everything from uplifting house to dark electro - plus some dubstep and hardstyle thrown in for good measure. With tracks and remixes from the likes of Nicky Romero, Gareth Emery, Diplo, Bassnectar, Netsky, Rudimental, Sub Focus, Vicetone, Designer Drugs, Mat Zo, Loadstar & of course Krewella themselves, this compilation crosses boundaries rarely taken, offering a unique take on the EDM scene.
